A CIVIL WAR CHRISTMAS:
AN AMERICAN MUSICAL CELEBRATION

by Paula Vogel
Music by Daryl Waters
Directed by Dawn Monique Williams
Music Direction by Margaret Halbig

We share with you the gladness of our hearts, and our wishes for peace.

A bitterly cold Christmas Eve, 1864, Washington, D.C. In the White House President and Mrs. Lincoln plan their gift-giving, while on the banks of the Potomac a young rebel soldier is captured by a Union blacksmith; nearby John Wilkes Booth hatches a plot, and an enslaved woman and her daughter become separated on their journey to freedom.  Featuring hymns and carols of the period, this warm and deeply moving musical play masterfully interweaves stories of lives from both sides of the Civil War.

Previews November 30 & December 1, 2017
Opening Night December 2, 2017
Theatre Club December 8, 2017

woman in mind
WOMAN IN MIND

by Alan Ayckbourn
Directed by Dennis Markam

A dark comedy by "the comic poet of middle class life."

Poor Susan.  Stuck in a humdrum marriage, feeling unfulfilled and neglected.  All it takes is stepping on a garden rake, a minor concussion -- and a few hilarious hallucinations -- for Susan to find herself suddenly surrounded by the ideal fantasy family, handsomely dressed in tennis whites and sipping champagne.  But when her real and imaginary worlds collide, those fantasies take on a nightmarish life of their own.

sense and sensibility
SENSE & SENSIBILITY

by Kate Hamill
Based on the novel by Jane Austen
Directed by Susan E. Evans

Called "exuberant," "inventive" and "an unconditional delight" by the critics, this rollicking new adaptation of Jane Austen's novel is full of humor and inventive theatricality, while staying remarkably faithful to the beloved classic.  Follow the adventures (and misadventures) of the Dashwood sisters -- sensitive Elinor and hypersensitive Marianne -- in gossipy late 18th century England.  When reputation is everything, how do you follow your heart?
