What to Prepare:   Please be prepared to perform one 1-3 min. contemporary monologue, preferably comedic. If you are interested in reading for the roles of Casey, Miss Tracy Mills, and/or Rexy, please also bring approximately one minute of material to lip sync. Bluetooth will be available. Please bring a hard copy of your photo and resume.


Casey: male, early 20s to mid-30s

Jo: female, African-American, early 20s to mid-30s

Miss Tracy Mills: 40s to 60s

Rexy/Jason: 20s to 40s

Eddie: 40s to 70s.

Any and all ethnicities, people of color, strongly encouraged to audition.

AUDITIONS:  Saturday, March 9, from 2:00-6:00pm, at Town Hall Theatre, 3535 School Street, Lafayette, CA 94549.

CALLBACKS:  Callbacks are by invitation and will be held Monday, March 11, from 6:45pm – 10:30pm, at Town Hall Theatre, 3535 School Street, Lafayette, CA 94549.

REHEARSALS:  The rehearsal period begins week of August 12, 2019, and runs through September 25, 2019.  Rehearsals are held evenings, 7-10pm, and Saturdays, 2-5pm, at Town Hall Theatre.

PRODUCTION DATES:  THE LEGEND OF GEORGIA McBRIDE will be performed SEPTEMBER 26 through OCTOBER 19, 2019 (12 performances including 2 Previews). Performances will be at 8:00pm on Thursday, Sept. 26 and Oct. 17, and on Fridays and Saturdays, Sept. 27, 28, Oct. 4, 5, 11,12, 18 and 19; and at 2:00pm on two Sunday matinees, October 6 and 13, 2019.

Compensation/Stipends:   Stipends are available to help defray travel and other expenses.
