Become a Teen Assistant!
What is a Teen Assistant?
Our Teen Assistants are role models to our younger students. Preferably our Teen Assistants have been active in our programs or have been active in other arts programs within school or the community. They are an extension of the teaching staff helping to create a safe and creative environment for the younger students.
What does a Teen Assistant do?
Our Teen Assistants participate in all aspects of the production i.e. warming up students, helping with choreography, running lines with students, taking detailed blocking notes for student and teaching reference. The Teen Assistants learn the show in its entirety and assist with the production backstage during the technical rehearsals and performances.
What is expected from the Teen Assistants?
Teen Assistants attend every rehearsal, tech rehearsal, and performance. Participate in all class activities. Make an effort to bond with students! Make sure students are not left unattended in any area of the theatre. Treat the theatre and all who enter it with respect. Support the Teaching Artists, working as a team! Teen Assistants will receive one training period with the Director of Education prior to the start of class and one mid session check-in and training period.
