Town Hall Education is proud to offer theatre classes for the grown-ups in our community as well as our young students!

Storytelling and School Tour

Local artists Lisa Anne Morrison and Lauren Flaherty co-teach this amazing program on Tuesday mornings throughout the school year. In Fall 2018, they brought the Julia Donaldson favorite, Room on the Broom, to life with a touring performance that reached elementary schools in Lafayette and Orinda. Currently, their troupe of actors and improvisers are touring a workshop performance to local middle schools that helps students address difficult subjects in a safe and engaging space. Join them in Fall 2019 when they return to elementary schools with a new children's book adaptation. Through this process, students will also learn basic theatrical skills such as projection, diction, ensemble building, and character-based movement. We want adults of all skill and experience levels to feel welcome; this class will not only benefit you as an artist but as a public speaker and an effective communicator.
