Glorietta

This program is for 4th and 5th grade students at Glorietta Elementary School.

Students in this program will learn basic through intermediate theatre skills and use those skills to put on a show!

About: Roald Dahl's Willy Wonka JR. follows enigmatic candy manufacturer Willy Wonka as he stages a contest by hiding golden tickets in five of his scrumptious candy bars. Whomever comes up with these tickets will win a free tour of the Wonka factory, as well as a lifetime supply of candy. Four of the five winning children are insufferable brats, but the fifth is a likeable young lad named Charlie Bucket, who takes the tour in the company of his equally amiable grandfather. The children must learn to follow Mr. Wonka's rules in the factory — or suffer the consequences. 

Roald Dahl's Willy Wonka JR. has a flexible cast size with many featured and ensemble roles, including the singing and dancing Oompa Loompas.

Students in this class will grow in on-stage theatre skills as they take on the characters and story of Willy Wonka Jr.

Classes: Tuesdays 3pm-5:30pm October 20th-February 22nd

Technical Rehearsals: February 23rd AND March 1st 3pm-6pm

Performances: March 4th at 6:30pm AND March 6th at 6pm

Technical Crew will work to help create the world of Willy Wonka Jr.! This class focuses on technical theatre skills like prop building, set painting, running lights, sound, and will act as our stage hands during performances.

January 19th-February 22nd

February 23rd AND 25th, March 1st and 2nd, 3pm-6pm

Performances:
March 4th AND 5th at 6:30pm, March 6th at 2pm AND 6pm
