Co-Production Partnership Program

A Stage for Belonging. A Home for New Voices.

Town Hall Theatre is committed to fostering artistic excellence, supporting local and regional artists, and expanding access to live performance in Contra Costa County. Through our Co-Production Partnership Program, Town Hall invites theatre companies, independent producers, and individual artists to partner with us in bringing compelling theatrical work to our stage during our 2027/2028 season.

This program is designed to provide artists with production support, performance opportunities, and access to Town Hall's facilities while encouraging creative collaboration and community engagement.

WHAT TOWN HALL PROVIDES

Selected projects may receive:
• Up to two weeks of rehearsal time onstage at Town Hall Theatre
• Access to the theatre for technical rehearsals
• Four to six public performances
• Limited production and administrative support
• Marketing and promotional assistance
• Front-of-house support during performances
• A modest production stipend and/or project support, determined on a project-by-project basis
• Collaborative planning with Town Hall staff

We view this program as a true partnership rather than a rental arrangement. Successful projects will be developed collaboratively, with Town Hall and the producing artist or organization working together to identify goals, resources, and opportunities for community impact.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Projects of all sizes and styles are encouraged to apply. We welcome submissions from established and emerging theatre companies, independent artists, playwrights, directors, producers, and interdisciplinary collaborators. Proposed projects may include plays, musicals, devised works, solo performances, readings, workshops, family programming, and other live performance experiences.

Applications will be reviewed with consideration given to artistic quality, feasibility, audience engagement potential, community impact, alignment with Town Hall Theatre's mission and values, and the readiness of the producing team. We are particularly interested in projects that invite new audiences into the theatre and deepen connections within our community.

If you’d like to jump into our 2027/2028 programming, please fill out the form here by August 1st, 2026.

*Selected applicants will enter into a separate partnership agreement outlining the specific responsibilities, support, financial arrangements, schedules, and expectations for the project.
